Please call in on Tuesday and urge the Council to take bold action to implement bike infrastructure now!
This coming Tuesday’s City Council Work Session will be actually discussing accelerating Bike/ped infrastructure in response to Scott Heinsius’ petition.
This is a substantial action, and the Council needs to hear from you in support! This is the time for you to speak out!
What you need to do:
- Read the info at the links below. (Especially the “Overall Presentation” and the “ATMP“)
- Put your thoughts together in a brief statement to the Council
- Email those thoughts to the Council
- Submit a request to read your comments to the Council during the Work Session, Tuesday, June 22nd starting at 3:00 pm. (Please read here for details on this process.)

This is the plan that has been in development for the past couple of years. It contains a huge amount of real bike/ped improvements for Flagstaff.
With enough political will on the part of the Flagstaff City Council, the short term improvements/demonstration projects can take effect nearly immediately, (within the next few months), and the long term improvements will come into effect sooner, and with more funding allocated, maybe in greater quantities/quality.
