Student Awards
The Golden Sprocket trophies will be awarded to the winning schools.
FBO encourages parents, teachers, and administrators to support and encourage (or accompany) students to bike to school more. We celebrate our younger bike commuters on this day with Bike to School activities.
- A “Golden Sprocket” award will be given to 4 local schools with the highest participation rate of students riding to school that day.
We will have on-site representatives counting the number of bikers on campus on the morning of Tuesday, June 5th. All students who ride throughout the week are encouraged to log-in to the website and register as bike-to-school participants every day; however, winners of this one day challenge will be determined through the individual school’s bicycle counts.
The school with the most participants through the on-line daily entries will be recognized on our website along with the winners of the Bike-to Work challenge. The winners of the Tuesday Challenge will be able to show off their shiny Golden Sprocket trophies for the next year.
