After 5 years of waiting, we have begun to build THE LOOP TRAIL! You might think the sketchy weather on Saturday would slow down the work we had planned. BUT NO! National Trail Day was an outstanding success. Around 200 enthusiastic volunteers turned out from every user group… we had mt bikers, hikers, dirt bikers and horse riders. Check out images here. Friday Movie night was great fun: Good thing I don’t live in New York City, ‘cuz I graded my bike lock-up style, according to Hal Grades Your Bike Locking, and my precious Raleigh commuter would be in grave jeopardy (D-) in NYC. Large Worksite Results It was very tight competition between 3 worksites with the Flagstaff Medical Center Emergency Dept’s 60.0% edging out Bookman’s (58.8%) and USGS Building 4 (55%). So FMC Emergency cruised off with the Breezer Bicycle for the 2nd year running. Congratulations to Mark Wille and his crew at the Emergency Dept.! Happy Bike to Work Day Flag Cyclists! We hope you all had a chance to get some coffee and kibble at one of our stations this morning. So far we have over 1000 bike-commuted days logged on the site this week. The average commute is 7.8 miles, and our Bike to Work Commuters have logged about 2600 miles each day so far. WAY TO GO!
