June 2nd, National Trails Day, Soldiers Trail maintenance, Fort Tuthill

Join the entire Flagstaff area trails community in the annual celebration of trails!

(This event’s location has been moved because of Coconino National Forest closures because of fire danger.)

This year we will be doing some maintenance on Soldiers Trail in Fort Tuthill as part of a bigger rework and additions to Coconino County Parks and Recreation’s Fort Tuthill Trail system.

Directions: Drive south on I-17. Take the off-ramp at exit #337 to Sedona/ 89A South. Turn right at the first traffic circle, and stay straight through the second into Fort Tuthill County Park. Follow the signs to Flag Extreme, look for Trail Day signs.

What to bring and other details:

All Trail events start at 8:30 am and conclude with lunch at 1:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Coffee will be served between 8:00 am and 8:30 am, and snacks, beverages, tasty lunch and FUN are all provided.

Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, sunscreen, water, and head protection are required. Hardhats, gloves, tools, and trail work instructions will be provided. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
