If you are as excited for Bike to Work Week as we are, here are some things you can do to start getting ready!
Register your work place in the Worksite Challenge! Every year we count on folks who are enthusiastic bike riders and bike commuters to help gt everyone else in town to try out riding their bicycles instead of driving. Everyone who rides and logs their commute (a very easy process!) is eligible to win some great raffle prizes from local businesses. If you act as a “Worksite Coordinator” and sign up your work place in the Worksite Challenge, you and your coworkers can win a free Scott or Specialized bicycle, (or trailer for small Worksites), for your work place.
Reserve a table at the Bike Bazaar Bike Swap, buy some raffle tickets to win a New Belgium Brewing Cruiser and become a Flagstaff Biking Organization! If you’ve got a bunch of old bike stuff to sell, we’ve got tables available for you. Come join in the Human-Powered Parade! If you join or re-join FBO, we’ll give you a free raffle ticket for a shiny New Belgium Brewing cruiser bike, but you can buy as many more as you like and we’ll use the proceeds to do good stuff for bicycling!
Teachers register your classroom for Bike to School Day! If your class wins, you could win a $200 gift certificate for classroom supplies! We want to make this the best Flagstaff Bike to School Day, (Tuesday, May 19th), ever by recording over 1000 kids riding to school. (We had almost that last year!)
Get your bike tuned up and ready to commute for the season! If you aren’t comfortable tuning up your own ride Flagstaff has several great bike shops, a couple who sponsor bike to Work Week! Check our sponsors and get your bike in now so its ready to roll!
