Mobile Trail Crew

Mobile Trail Crew logo

As a part of Trail Day, the Mobile Trail Crew is a group of people who are trained by the Forest Service to be able to effectively repair eroded and injured trail with lightweight and portable tools. Flagstaff Biking Organization supplies the tool kits to the volunteers and communicates with these volunteers where problem trails need additional maintenance. These riders are able to repair trails that would otherwise be neglected due to their remote locations.

People interested in helping on a day or two with this program for 2009 should contact Blair Foust at blairafoust@gmail.com or (928) 213-0767. The Crew meets most Tuesdays at Schultz Creek Trail Head, about 1/4 mile up Schultz Pass Road from Elden Lookout road. Volunteers should have some trail maintenance and repair experience and should attend the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew training or have attended trail training before, but this is not required. This is a good opportunity to help out the condition of the trails while getting in a ride.
