Commuter Survey 2009

Welcome! Before you bike into the sunset and a lifetime love of bike commuting (we assume), FBO would like to complete this survey of the greater Flagstaff Biking community to assess where we are, where you the cyclist is, and where we want to go. Please help us by taking this survey, and forward this link to your cyclist friends; it will take about 10 minutes of your time and help us build for greater successes in bike advocacy to build a better, safer and even larger bicycle commuting community.

Results of the 2008 Survey (Click here to load the 198 Kb PDF).

Our 2008 survey demonstrated Flag bike commuters are a sturdy, conscientious, and respectful lot. Weather, big loads and errands are the biggest deterrents to more commuting. Almost a third of the 176 respondents claimed to bike “almost every day”. Almost 87% of the respondents said they wore a helmet, most or all of the time.

If you would like to use the results of this survey to urge your worksite to improve conditions for cyclists, let us know.
Thanks,
Flagstaff Biking Organization
