JOIN THE CHALLENGE! Let’s see which trail user group can show up in the greatest numbers for this great trail! A lovely trophy is on the line for the winning group… they will hold that trophy until next year’s challenge. Join this fun event… we ALL WIN when we work together to build good trail and strong trail-user relationships!

What to bring and other details:

HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE RECOMMENDED! If you don’t have a high clearance vehicle, you can probably catch a ride from the intersection of FR164B and FR9002 for the last mile to the meeting area. Park and waive another friendly Trail Day participant down!

All Trail events start at 8:30 am and conclude with lunch at 1:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Coffee will be served between 8:00 am and 8:30 am, and snacks, beverages, tasty lunch and FUN are all provided.

Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, sunscreen, water, and head protection are required. Hardhats, gloves, tools, and trail work instructions will be provided. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Directions: Head out of Flagstaff on Highway 180/ Fort Valley Road towards Grand Canyon. After you pass Schultz Pass Road, you’ll see the Summit Fire Station on your right. Immediately after, turn right to the Fort Valley Trail Head on FR164B. Continue on FR164B. Turn right before the cattle guard onto FR9002. Follow this road for approximately 1 mile to its end where we will be meeting. Follow signs!
