Earth Day History: Gaylord Nelson, the ambitious junior senator from Wisconsin staged the first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970 (a date chosen to fit best in college schedules between spring break and final exams). This brought together millions of people and gave rise to the modern American environmental movement. Please join the movement this year. Hope to see you there!
