The community is invited to attend the kick-off public workshop for the Flagstaff Trails Initiative on Wednesday, October 10, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Flagstaff High School Commons. The meeting is an opportunity to learn about the newly-launched initiative and share ideas about the future of trails and outdoor recreation in the greater Flagstaff area.

The kick-off public meeting is the first step in an inclusive public process to better understand the needs and interests of residents and trail users. The input and ideas provided during the meeting will help shape a regional trails strategy, scheduled for completion in 2019.

When: Wednesday, October 10 from 6-8:30 p.m.

Where: Flagstaff High School Commons

What: A thirty-minute open house, followed by a 6:30 p.m. presentation on the Flagstaff Trails Initiative and interactive small group discussions and mapping activities

Flagstaff Biking Organization co-applied with the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County, and the Coconino National Forest for a Rivers, Tails and Conservation Assistance Grant to help facilitate public, business, and other stakeholder involvement in an area-wide trails plan for Flagstaff.

This is a multi-faceted approach and we hope to see some positive, on the ground improvements to the quality of trails in the Flagstaff area as the outcome for this effort.

Please make time to attend this initial public meeting yourself if you can. More info on the Flagstaff Trails Initiative here:
