We’re building a mountain bike park and giving it to Coconino County Parks and Recreation for everyone to use for free!
After years of discussion and involvement with Coconino County Parks and Recreation’s (CCP&R) trail program, we have an agreement with CCP&R to build a mountain bike park at Ft. Tuthill!
The basics of the agreement are that we will hire professional bike park builders to build trails and tracks at the park. As each part is completed, we will give that piece to CCP&R. This will keep FBO out of the liability stream, assure the best final product and keep the park free and open to the public.
Construction of the first phase, which consisted of the beginner, intermediate and advanced flow trails and the tot track, was completed in November of 2014. This first phase is now open to the public, pending weather and soil conditions,(check here for up-to-date info on status)!
The first part of Phase 2 was constructed over the winter of 2016-2017. Click here for a full report on American Conservation Experience’s work on this part of the project.
Phase 1 and the first part of Phase 2 are open to the public, pending weather and soil conditions, (check here for up-to-date info on status)!
We are currently seeking other grant funding and business support to continue construction of Phase 2. If you’d like to contribute, please see the Sponsorship Package here.
