Become a Loop Trail Volunteer!
The 2008 Loop Trail building season is over, but it will resume next Spring. If you want to be involved, join our contact list (see below)! Keep informed on trail days, Loop trail committee formation, and trail construction training. 
Our November 8th day was a classically beautiful Flagstaff Fall day and was held off Lake Mary Road between the water plant, Skunk Canyon and Pine Canyon Club. A large turnout cut a quarter mile of brand spankin’ new trail and rerouted or obliterated about the same length. Great job and great thanks to our volunteers!
Our October 11th trail day on Elden Springs trail may have been a bit cooler and breezier than we hoped for, but was nevertheless a great success. GREAT THANKS! to the thirty hardy souls turned out to do some awesome work on the worst of the rutted trail east of Elden Springs on the Forces of Nature Trail. This great trail was in desperate need of TLC and our work was invaluable!
Most of our trail days go from 8 or 9 AM to about lunch time. Some are followed by a group ride to enjoy the new trail.
While sipping coffee or hot chocolate from Late for the Train, we will have safety meeting to make sure everyone works safely and happily. We will work until lunch time, (generously provided to us by Fratelli Pizza or Biff’s Bagels), and raffle off some great prizes. We will need help to build, repair and maintain this legacy trail, as well as install signs in 2009 so PLEASE JOIN US!
Please come with sturdy shoes, long pants, water, sunscreen, and a hat or bike helmet; and gloves if you have some. Dress in layers, weather is changesome. We provide hard-hats, tools and equipment, guidance and training. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Bring your mountain bike! Sometimes we offer a modest group ride following trail building.
