Thirteen mountain bikes later, he still explores trails throughout the US and other locales near and far. His bike of choice the last 9 years has been a single speed mountain bike, although he does still ride gears when needed. From Mark’s first taste of trail dirt work at a Sunset Trail event in 1987, to his current role as FBO’s Trail Program Coordinator, bike advocacy and multi user trail building and maintenance has been a passion. Mark is a Board Member and the Trail Programs Coordinator for FBO and also assists with the bike recycling program, fundraising events and the Biopic newsletter.

Susan Hueftle
Susan Hueftle Susan Hueftle has enjoyed a lifetime of all-weather bike commuting in the west: in Colorado, Nebraska and Washington state; and since 1993, in the sun, snow and thunder of Flagstaff. She is an avid mountain biker, environmentalist, naturalist, water quality scientist, & outdoorsperson. She believes there are few problems that couldn’t be improved if more people road bicycles, and she’d like to see Flagstaff–and the world–become a safer and more welcoming place for bicyclists. She sees the potential benefits of cycling to the individual and society are monumental and should be recognized and supported by the community and its laws. Since joining FBO’s board in late 2006 she is the Go-To-Gal for Bike to Work Week statistics, can be seen venting frustrations on rocks at FBO trail events, and has a penchant to write with food at FBO’s Pancake Breakfasts.

David McKee - Loop Trail Coordinator
David McKee - Loop Trail Coordinator David was born in a small Ohio town far from what he would call an ideal mountain biking scene. As a result, he considers himself lucky and excited to be in Flagstaff now and enjoys our amazing bike scene. His interest in being a part of the Flagstaff Biking Organization Board is to help promote responsible and safe bicycling to everyone in our community. He sees FBO as a group that can help ensure future Flagstaff bikers have the same great biking experiences we have now and to make that experience even better. As the Loop Trail Coordinator for FBO, David’s focus is on trying to get the Flagstaff Loop Trail moving forward. He sees it as great project that will really become the jewel of the Flagstaff Trail system when finished. Although he loves mountain biking he’s also a trail runner, active with Northern Arizona Trail Runners and spend lots of time snowshoeing, skiing and hiking with friends and all our dogs.
